At the Four Masters National School, different classes carried out different activities to help them learn more about biodiversity overall, and their designated native species. Senior Pupils hung out bird feeders to increase the diversity of small birds visiting the school grounds and food for the cold winter months. The junior pupils went out and about gathering leaves and mini-beasts in their school grounds, to raise awareness on the huge diversity that is in our school grounds. Middle classes went down to the rocky shoreline looking at the variety of sea-life in the rock pools. The junior classes set quadrats in their school grounds and identified the animal and plant life found inside the quadrats. Fourth Class planted onions and garlic the in school poly tunnel.
